What is 1 Block Minecraft?

1 Block Minecraft is a custom map created by CrepikCZ that was inspired by the popular skyblock genre. Skyblock is a type of survival map where you start on a small island in the sky with limited resources and have to expand your territory and complete various tasks. 1 Block Minecraft takes this concept to the extreme by giving you only one block to work with.

The concept of 1 Block Minecraft

The idea behind 1 Block Minecraft is simple: you start on a grass block floating in the void, and every time you break it, it regenerates into another random block. You can get blocks of different types, such as dirt, stone, wood, sand, gravel, ores, plants, animals, mobs, chests, and even spawners. You can use these blocks to build your island, craft items, grow crops, breed animals, and fight enemies.

The phases of 1 Block Minecraft

As you progress through the game, you will encounter different phases that change the theme and difficulty of the blocks you get. There are 10 phases in total, each with its own biome, blocks, mobs, and bosses. The phases are:

  • Phase 1: Plain - The basic phase with grass, dirt, stone, wood, flowers, sheep, cows, pigs, chickens, zombies, skeletons, spiders, and creepers.

  • Phase 2: Cave - The underground phase with stone, gravel, ores, coal, iron, gold, diamonds, emeralds, bats, zombies, skeletons, spiders, creepers, silverfish, endermen, witches, and cave spiders.

  • Phase 3: Snowy - The winter phase with snow, ice, packed ice, blue ice, spruce wood, snowmen, polar bears, rabbits, foxes, wolves, zombies, skeletons (some with bows), spiders (some with potion effects), creepers (some charged), strays (skeletons with slowness arrows), and an elder guardian boss.

  • Phase 4: Desert - The hot phase with sand, sandstone, cactus, dead bushes, sugar cane, acacia wood, villagers, husks (zombies that don't burn in daylight), skeletons, spiders, creepers, endermen, witches, and a giant scorpion boss.

  • Phase 5: Jungle - The tropical phase with grass, dirt, jungle wood, bamboo, cocoa beans, melons, vines, parrots, ocelots, pandas, chickens, zombies, skeletons, spiders, creepers, endermen, witches, and a giant spider boss.

  • Phase 6: Nether - The hellish phase with netherrack, nether bricks, soul sand, magma blocks, glowstone, quartz ore, nether wart, nether fungi, crimson and warped stems, piglins, zombified pigl ins, hoglins, wither skeletons, blazes, ghasts, magma cubes, and a wither boss.

  • Phase 7: Ocean - The aquatic phase with water, sand, gravel, clay, prismarine, sea lanterns, coral, kelp, seagrass, sea pickles, turtles, dolphins, cod, salmon, pufferfish, tropical fish, drowned (zombies that can swim), guardians, elder guardians, and a giant squid boss.

  • Phase 9: Bonus - The extra phase with sponge, slime blocks, honey blocks, netherite blocks, emerald blocks, diamond blocks, gold blocks, iron blocks, coal blocks, redstone blocks, lapis lazuli blocks, quartz blocks, and a giant slime boss.

How to Play and Enjoy 1 Block Minecraft

Now that you have downloaded and installed the map, you are ready to play and enjoy 1 Block Minecraft. Here are some tips and tricks to help you have a fun and successful experience:

Breaking and regenerating the block

The core mechanic of the game is breaking and regenerating the block. You can use any tool or your hand to break the block, but be careful not to fall into the void. The block will regenerate into another random block after a short delay. You can also sneak (press "Shift") on the block to prevent it from regenerating, which can be useful if you want to save a certain block for later. You can also use a hopper or a piston to collect the blocks automatically.

Expanding your island and building structures

As you break and regenerate the block, you will get more blocks that you can use to expand your island and build structures. You can place blocks around the original block or on top of it, but be careful not to cover it completely o
